Levy 28% import duties

The Turkey safeguard measures originated in January 13th this year.

Turkey, the world's major textile giant, issued an official statement saying that in order to protect domestic enterprises from imports, it plans to increase import tariffs on woven fabrics and clothing products imported from the world.

The investigation work will be completed within 9 months of the earthwork plan for safeguards, if it is necessary to extend it for another 2 months.

This is the cancellation of Turkey in 2008 to China.

According to this statement, including cotton, wool and

chemical fiber

Textile products such as woven fabrics and other 13 tax numbers will face increased import tariffs. Turkey will import tariffs to developing countries by 28% on the original basis, but the maximum tax rate is not more than 4 US dollars / kg, with a minimum of 1 US dollars / kg.

Shaoxing involved $150 million

According to customs statistics, according to the import and export situation in 2010, the total number of products exported to Turkey is about US $535 million.

Among them, Shaoxing is mainly involved in the area, involving nearly 100 enterprises, of which more than 1 million enterprises and 35 enterprises, our county involved in the amount of 150 million dollars, accounting for 28% of the country.

Shaoxing customs officials pointed out that although the total volume of Shaoxing exported to Turkey is small, it has little impact on the development of the entire textile industry. However, if this plan is implemented, many export enterprises with weaker profitability will be kept outside Turkey, which will lose their competitiveness in the international market.

More than 20 home textile enterprises "Baotuan" defense

Turkey market lifted the restrictions on China's textile imports in 2008, and quickly opened up new markets. After 3 years, many textile enterprises in our county have a stable market base in Turkey.

"Turkey is a major export market for companies and can not be easily abandoned."

One person in charge told reporters.

To cope with the trade friction, more than 20 enterprises involved in the case in our county participated in the joint meeting of the Chinese textile import and Export Chamber of Commerce and the provincial commerce department in February 28th.

"The amount of exports to Turkey is larger and ready to participate in litigation. We hope to actively rely on the legal channels for defense, and strive to maintain the legitimate rights of the company through the participation in litigation."
